The Bird Census is an activity carried out to count and monitor birds in the Desaru Coast area of Johor, Malaysia.

It helps us understand which bird species are present, how many there are, what they’re doing, and how they use the space around them. Birds are highly sensitive to changes in the environment, so noticing if certain species appear or disappear can tell us a lot about the overall health of the ecosystem.

By doing regular bird surveys, we can track changes in bird populations over time and see how well conservation efforts are working. The census is carried out by experienced bird watchers, researchers, and volunteers who are skilled at identifying and recording bird species.

Through this effort, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of birds and encourage more people to support bird conservation, recognizing their vital role in keeping the planet’s ecosystem in balance.esa
